Poetry

I wanted to share some of my work and someone asked to read some of my poetry, so I figure I'll put this out there. This poem was published in 2004, and is part of an anthology that was printed by the American Poets Society, the book is called "A Celebration of Poetry".

I realize it's rhymey and poems don't have to rhyme but this is exactly how I felt, and still feel about the person this was written for. I found myself missing him terribly today, and I thought I should share this. I don't think even my friends have ever read this... so here ya go, a lil bit of my soul.

She Would
She'd write him a pretty song
If only she could sing
She'd fly him to the moon and back
If only she had wings
She'd make him invincible
If only she had the power
She'd fight all of his monsters
If only she wasn't a coward
She'd give him all her smiles
If only there were more hours in the day
She'd love him even more
If only there was a way

  1. She was not a Coward...
She braved, with nary a second thought..the storm of insanity.
She allowed NOT her soul to be soured..
By Urth & Fate's conspiracy of chaotic cruel profanity.
